“I FELT LOVE” RELEASED MOTHER’S DAY 2020!
As the debut single from Jacob Tovar's NEW ALBUM "Good Reasons" (Coming Summer 2020), I Felt Love is a calling card for this velvet-voiced baritone. Co-written by Jacob, world-class pedal steel player, Roger Ray, and Grammy Nominee John Fullbright, I Felt Love pulls on classic country storytelling about how love changes everything in your life. “I felt love, when I held you in my arms", especially exemplifies intimate love... "I felt love, when you finally spoke my name" brings to light the love between a parent and child. Any touring musician or travelling worker can relate with the sacrifices of being away from family to provide for them: "If I seem a stranger it’s because I had to go, up and down the road a time or two... love is all I ever had for you."
In addition to storytelling, this song also pays respect to Tulsa Sound legends, like J.J. Cale, by using elements such as an old school drum box to set the classic country groove.
Purchasing the single also includes an exclusive ACOUSTIC VERSION of Crystal, another highlight track of the coming "Good Reasons" album. The album was recorded at 3CG Records in Tulsa, and produced and mixed by Isaac Hanson, with engineering by Wes Sharon and Isaac Hanson (both Grammy Nominees).
